At St. Mary’s, our patients and their families are at the heart of everything we do – every encounter, every day. With the well-being of our patients always in mind, our vision is a lofty one; to be the safest and most effective hospital in Canada, characterized by innovation, compassion and respect.

In 2001 we became home to St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre. Today we offer a range of cardiac services to over one million people in Waterloo Region and beyond. This is a responsibility that we do not take lightly. Our staff and physicians advocate on behalf of our community to ensure the very best advances in medical and surgical practices are available, right here in our Region.

Over the past few years we have been working quietly behind the scenes, laying the ground work to bring one more piece of cardiac care to St. Mary’s; Heart Rhythm.  This final piece will allow us to treat all types of heart issues related to electrical current and rhythm and will eliminate the need for patients to have to travel outside of our Region for this essential, lifesaving care.

In order to bring this final piece of the cardiac program to St. Mary’s we require community investment – that’s where our loyal donors come in. Donors built St. Mary’s in 1924, expanded it in 1961 and again in 2007.  Today, we stand at the edge of renewal and we need your help.  Please join us in our efforts to bring the Heart Rhythm Program to St. Mary’s.
