St. Mary’s Volunteer Association

ER Volunteer Sign

In January 2007,  the Emergency Department waiting area was named in recognition of the significant contribution of time and resources by the St Mary’s General Hospital Volunteer Association (1932-present) and of their generous gift to the One Voice One Vision campaign.

At that time, the volunteer association had invested over $1 million.

A warm smile and helpful direction can ease the anxiety of any hospital visit. Each year, hundreds of St. Mary’s volunteers provide unwavering service to our patients and their families. The same individuals also spend countless hours planning and achieving success in their many fundraising activities.

In the year 2000, the St. Mary’s General Hospital Volunteer Association made a truly remarkable leadership donation to the St. Mary’s Family Campaign, in support of One Voice One Vision. Every Volunteer Association member, past and present, should be very proud at the decision to make such a visionary gift and at the commitment to see it fulfilled.

The funds to complete this ambitious pledge were raised through the Volunteer Association’s many annual and ongoing fundraising activities; Festival of Trees, Big Ticket Draw, Gift Shop Sales, Zehrs Tapes and HELPP Lottery.

St. Mary’s General Hospital, and our patients, are truly blessed to have such a dedicated group of volunteers to help us achieve our mission of providing quality health care in our community.
