When you donate to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign fund, you not only remember our fallen heroes, but also make a difference right here in our community.
St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation is proud to recognize the efforts of the Elmira Poppy fund and thank the local Royal Canadian Legions and their respective Poppy Funds for their long history of caring for our community.
As your members strive to keep the memory alive of the Canadian men and women who paid the supreme sacrifice in the service of Canada, your support of St. Mary’s General Hospital also ensures the well being of our Veterans and their families.
Through the Poppy campaign which utilizes hundreds of member volunteer hours each year, vital medical equipment and supplies are purchased for St. Mary’s General Hospital.
You are the Guardians of Remembrance, and the lines from John McCrae’s poem …if ye break faith with us who die we shall not sleep, though poppies grow in Flanders Fields… are as true today as when they were first written.
