Creating Memories

As a calendar year comes to a close, we often take time to reflect on the journey our lives have taken over the past twelve months. We look back and consider the highs, and sometimes lows, that have shaped our perspectives and helped us appreciate the magic of life itself.

For St. Mary’s this is a special time of year. It is a chance for us to reflect on the role that we have played in the lives of so many throughout the Region and beyond.

For some, we gave a new sense of well-being or enhanced their ability to live with dignity. For others, St. Mary’s was the difference between life and death.

We are humbled by the role we play in the lives of our patients and we understand how our work permits them to experience life’s special moments for yet another year.

These images are just a small glimpse of the St. Mary’s family photo album. You can see Stacey and her two boys vacationing this past summer on the tenth anniversary of her life-saving cardiac surgery at St. Mary’s, Hans as he enjoys precious moments with his twin grandchildren after recovering from a debilitating heart condition. And Barry who this year, with the help of the St. Mary’s surgical team, was able to celebrate with his new bride, Gail, on their wedding day. All of these moments have one thing in common — Without St. Mary’s, and your support of our work, they wouldn’t have happened.

Will you help us to continue to create memories for countless families in 2014? Your gift today will ensure more of life’s special moments happen tomorrow.
