Angela Werstine pays tribute

This beautiful piece of artwork, titled ‘Immaculate’, is a piece that she will forever hold close to heart. Shortly after finishing the piece in November 2009, she said her final goodbye to her mother as she passed away. It was her mother, who from day one, believed Angela could become an artist with the talent she was blessed with. This piece is now a tribute to her mother who encouraged her to follow her dreams.

Having experienced the different emotions people face within hospitals, Angela chose to donate the piece to St. Mary’s.

“Immaculate pays tribute to my mom as well as my community,” said Angela. “I am donating Immaculate to St. Mary’s hospital in hopes that it will lift the spirits of those who need it most and give people a sense of hope and peace.”

In the photo, Don Shilton, President of St. Mary’s Hospital and Peter Sweeney, President of St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation unveil Immaculate to Angela Werstine on the 2nd floor of St. Mary’s Hospital.
